If you receive a lot of mail with ***SPAM*** in the subject line, you can file those messages when they arrive to a quarantine folder using Message Rules. Although that folder will still need to be occasionally monitored and managed, it will help make your true inbox less cluttered.
- Start Outlook Express Tools > Message Rules > Mail...
- Click "New..." to create a new Message Rule.
- For block 1, check the box labelled "Where the Subject line contains specific words"
For block 2, check the box labelled "Move it to the specified folder"
For block 3, see next step
For block 4, type "SPAM Quarantine"
- For block 3 rule description, click the link "contains specific words", then type ***SPAM*** and click the Add button.
- For block 3 rule description, click the link "specified", then click New Folder, type Spam Quarantine then click OK.
- Thats it. Now all incoming mail that has been marked as SPAM will be filed in that SPAM Quarantine folder.
