Upload and insert an image

Owl Watch joomla! enabled sites are installed with the Joomla Content Editor (JCE). Placing images in the content is relatively simple once you have done it a few times. This article describes a method for uploading and inserting an image into content.
Enter the CMS JCE content editor. You will see the following icons above the Text Box. (Note: Your icons may not appear in the exact order as shown)

Locate and click the Insert/Edit Image icon on the bottom row.

The Insert/Edit menu will open.

Upload your image
Locate and click the "Upload" Icon
|

The following Upload menu will appear. Hit the Browse button and locate the image on your local file system using the navigation menu that appears, then click the 'Upload' button. Note: It is recommended that you resize your image while uploading. Use the 'Resize Image' check box below to perform the resizing conveniently . This will occur as part of the upload process.

You can manage your images on the server using folders. You may navigate the folders using the folder hierarchy on the lower left of the 'Browse' menu and can create new folders using the following icon.

Insert your image
Place your cursor in the body of the content where you would like the image to appear and click.
If the Insert/Edit image menu is not active, select this icon from the editor.

Locate and select the image you are going to insert using the "Browser". You will see the three fields at the top of the menu will populate. Do not change the URL, but go ahead and update the descriptiona and title. You can Use the 'Appearance Tab' to adjust appearance of the image. You can edit this later to fine tune. When all set, hit the 'Insert' button at the bottom of the menu.
