For these instructions, we will use an example account. You should replace the example settings with your own as you go through this article.
- Open Outlook 2000
- Go to Tools > Accounts in the Toolbar

- Select the Mail tab, then Click the Add button and select Mail... from the pop-up menu.

- On the first page of the wizard, type your full name, then select the Next> button.

Type your full e-mail adress (your user name plus yourdomain ) , then click Next >.

- Enter your POP3 incoming server and SMTP outgoing servers like 'mail.yourdomain.com, then Next.

- Enter your account information, then click Next. Make sure your account name is your full email address including user and yourdomain .

- Click Finish.

- Select Properties.

- Select the Servers Tab and check the button on the bottom that states 'My server requires authentication'

- Click the 'Settings...' Button next to "My server requires authentication" and make sure "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is selected.

- Click "OK" on each screen until you get back to the main Outlook Screen.
