What is it and why?
I wrote this component to give Joomla! enabled users a little more control over their content from the frontend.
-
Authors can now see all their content in one list, which means they can edit unpublished items
from the front end.
-
If they have access to publish items, they publish content with one click from the content list
on the front.
-
Allows users to create a content item for any section, instead of having to have multiple
links from the usermenu.
How do I use this?
Add the component as a new menu item (probably to your usermenu). You will want to make sure
that it has at least Registered for an access level. Login from the frontend
and you should be able to access it from the menu you put it on.
You can edit the settings like all Joomla content pages; Go to the menu item and change the
parameters in the right panel.
Support
If you need support on this component, you can ask questions on my forum (http://owlwatch.com/forum). I will try and
back as soon as I can.
Credits
Written by: Mark Fabrizio (http://owlwatch.com) but mostly
just hacked up code from the Joomla core content component. If you want to help me out, you can donate
through paypal at my website or at least
take some interest in the ads at the bottom of the page :)
Update
Several changes have been made since initial release including a minor bug fix, and the inclusion of Dutch and French language files.
